Heartfelt Fridays

Heartfelt Friday: Watercolor Oakberry Lane Thanksgiving Card

Let’s create this cheerful Thanksgiving Card using the sweet Oakberry Lane Collection. Get your watercolors ready! This video is about 15 minutes longer than my usual tutorial as I took my time with the water coloring.

Let’s Watercolor!! I change up the color of my card in the video.

Stamping Guide:

Stamp the largest image in the set in VersaMark ink and Heat emboss with Gold embossing powder. I used liquid water colors to get a bright saturated image.

AFTER the image is painted, die cut the large image, the windows and the pie-serving squirrel. Die cut 2 acorns. I made three oakberry flowers by stamping two of the same size for each flower in Cactus Flower ink, used the mold, and added stamens. Leaves are colored in Emerald Green and Vivid Chartreuse.

Die Cutting Guide:

Cut the largest die from this set in Lux Silver and use a paper trimmer to cut a pattern piece to a 5 1/2″ square.

Cut the 2nd largest die in the set from a Dark Purple patterned paper.

Use the largest die from the Circle Basic Large Set to make a Light Green circle.

Watch the video above to see how I put it all together to create this cheerful Thanksgiving card. Please give my video a thumbs up and I would love to have you subscribe to my channel! Until next time, Create for the fun of it!

Heartfelt Friday: Tulip Time Slimline Card

For today, we are making a pretty little birthday day card, nice and flat for mailing. I chose to use images from the Tulip Time Collection.

Stamping Guide:

Color these images using make-up applicators and Tea Rose, Vibrant Fuchsia, and Vivid Chartreuse Inks.

Stamp the small flower spray from the Elegant Teapot Florals in Leaf Green. Use the Have A Wonderful Birthday Sentiment from the Special Birthday Sentiments Set.

Die Cutting Guide:

Use the Larges Die from this set out of Lux Gold Paper

Use the largest Die from this set out of a pale green patterned paper.

Use the Decorative die from this set from Lux Gold paper.

Combine the two largest label dies to create this thin lux gold frame.

Use the 2nd largest label die ( the smaller of the ones used in the prior photo) to cut window in the pale green patterned paper. Cut a piece of pink patterned paper to fit larger than the label window.

Watch the video above to see how it all comes together. Thank you so much for joining me for todays Heartfelt Creations Friday tutorial. I hope you have a lovely day. Don’t forget to give the video a thumbs up!

Monday Mix Up Challenge

Monday Mix Up: Use Your stamps to Tell a Story on Your Card

Choose a stamp set or a combination of stamps that tell a story. Like these “Cat Do Christmas” Whimsy Stamps. We have the Angel kitty, who does no wrong, and the Naughty Kitty swiping Christmas cookies being looked over by Santa Cat. Watch the video below to see how I made this card.

Die Cut Guide:

Use a grid die like this Lawn Fawn Die to cut a red 4 x 5 1/4″ background and two Grid pieces. One in brown to use the frame and one in white to use the 4 inside pieces.

Stamp/Coloring Guide

I used these three sets from Whimsy Stamps. Naughty Doggie, Cats Do Christmas, and Mixed Media Bits

Stamp the four main images from “Cats Do Christmas” set and color with Copic Markers. Watch the video to see which markers I used.

Stamp a brick background on two of the white inside pieces.

Next just put it all together and stamp the “oops, I did it again” stamp from Naughty Doggies on the inside of the card. Thanks for joining me today and please give my vide a thumbs up and leave a comment. I love to hear what you think of my card. Until next time, Create for the fun of it!

Heartfelt Creations Friday: Wisteria Window Shaker Greeting

I purchased the Wisteria Petals stamp & die after it was added to the Warehouses Clearance section on the website. Like many of you, I was unable to get any of the supporting pieces that went with this collection. For todays Heartfelt Creations Friday card, I made a Window Shaker card using the Wisteria. I have to admit, this is a challenging flower to make.

Watch this video to see how I made this card:

Die Guide:

I also cut one background piece from a green pattern paper and layered it on the black piece. That is up to you.

Stamp and Color Guide:

I stamped the door and sentiment in Plum ink. The Petals in Deep Purple ink, and the branch in Coffee ink.

Watch the video to see which dies I used to cut the above pieces.

These are the colors I used and how I shaped my petals.

Since I do not own the set that has the leaf stamp/die, I used a stamp/die from the Classic Rose set.

Thank you for joining me to make this Window Shaker card.
