Cards for Kids! – With an Out of this World twist!

As in my prior post, the following are cards I made for a church project of sending cards to each child in our youth ministry. Creating cards specifically for children was so fun. They ranged from toddlers to preteens so I created a wide variety for both boys and girls. Brianna, my son’s fiance, helped me by creating all these cool ink blended backgrounds. This was her first time to ink blend and I think she did a fantastic job!

Heffy Doodle and Gerda Steiner stamp sets

For these cards, I used all the various space themed stamp sets that I own and combined them. They come from Heffy Doodle, Lawn Fawn, and Gerda Steiner stamp companies. We used Catherine Pooler inks for the backgrounds and copic markers to color all the images. All the sentiments are heat embossed using Lawn Fawn fine white or clear embossing powder. Most of stamped images are raised with foam dots. I hope you enjoy our spacey Kid cards.

Heffy Doodle stamp set with a super cool background! This one was spritzed with Heidi Swapps gold color shine!
Gerda Steiner alien stamp with Heffy Doodle planets. This inky background was spritzed with plain water.
Heffy Doodle Aliens and more water spritzing on the background. After sprtizing a dry paper towel was used to blot the water drops .
Mostly Lawn Fawn images with a few Heffy Doodle.
Lots of fun ways to use these space themed stamps!

Astronauts and Aliens are perfect to pair with outer space ink blended backgrounds. If you own any space themed stamp sets, I hope these cards encourage you to break them out and make your own version of spacey kid cards. Until next time, continue to have fun crafting!
